Booking BU accommodation is a two stage process
During Stage 1 you will:
- Confirm we have your correct personal details
- Inform us of any specific accommodation requirements that you may have
Once you are Unconditional you will be able to complete Stage 2 where you will:
- Create a personal profile for potential flatmates to view (optional)
- See, in real-time, all rooms which are available to book
- View other flatmates profiles
- Choose your room
- Make a payment to secure your room

During Stage 1 you will:
- Confirm we have your correct personal details
- Inform us of any specific accommodation requirements that you may have

Stage 2 - Choosing and booking your room
Applicants with unconditional firm (UF) status:
If you already hold an unconditional offer (UF) of study at BU, from 10am Tuesday 24 March 2026, you will be able to return to complete Stage 2 where you will choose and securely book your room in BU accommodation. We will email you a reminder at that time.
Remember to ensure you have the correct amount of money ready to secure your room. Check out our price guide for more information (price guide will be updated for 2026.27 in February)
Applicants with conditional firm (CF) status:
On Tuesday 14 April 2026 and Wednesday 15 April 2026, all students with a conditional offer (CF), who have completed Stage 1 by the 13 April 2026, will be able to return, during an allocated timeslot, to complete Stage 2 and reserve a room in BU accommodation. Once you become UF you will then receive instructions to confirm that booking.

You can book an individual room or an entire flat if you want to live with a group of friends*.

- Maintenance Reporting - For Unilet and St John's residents only. Login to the Accommodation Portal and click 'Maintenance' on the top task bar.
General Data Protection Regulation (2018)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (2018), Bournemouth University (BU) has a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We will process the information contained in this booking in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
We will use your information to administer your room booking and, if you have chosen to book a room in externally-owned/managed accommodation, we will also share with the third party accommodation provider your: name, date of birth, home address, email, telephone number and, where deemed relevant for your accommodation booking, any details about disclosed disabilities, medical conditions and unspent criminal convictions.
